A safe, picturesque anchorage on Loch Sween: visitor moorings, the pontoon, charges and local contacts.
Welcome to Tayvallich

Tayvallich Bay is a safe and picturesque anchorage for visiting yachts and motor cruisers. The village is a popular destination for walkers, food lovers and wildlife lovers. It has a local bus service and connections to Glasgow and to Jura and Islay. The village has a pub and restaurant, a well-stocked shop, and a coffee shop, all supplying local produce. The shop has a shower that visitors can use.
There are four visitor moorings, and two areas marked on the chartlet for anchoring. Charges and payment methods are shown on the mooring cans. Visitors are welcome to stay on the pontoon overnight, on a first come, first served basis. Please keep clear of the marked Jura Passenger Ferry berth on the south corner. Charges are shown on the pontoon notice board. The pontoon has 2.4m LWS at the shore end and 3.3m LWS at the seaward end. Water and two shore power outlets are available on the pontoon. Bring your own hose.
