General Information About Tayvallich Bay

Welcome to Tayvallich.

Tayvallich bay is known as a safe and picturesque anchorage for visiting yachts and motor cruisers. Tayvallich is a popular destination for walkers, foodies and wildlife lovers with a local bus service and connections to both Glasgow and Jura/Islay. The village has a popular pub/restaurant, a well-stocked shop, and coffee shop all supplying local produce. The shop has a shower for visitors use.

There are four visitor moorings (charges and payment method are displayed on the mooring cans) and two areas designated for anchoring marked on the chartlet. Visitors are welcomed to stay on the pontoon overnight on a first come first served basis. Avoid the marked Jura Passenger Ferry berth on the south corner. Charges are displayed at the pontoon notice board. The pontoon has 2.4m LWS at the shore end and 3.3m LWS at the seaward end. Water (own hose required) and 2 shore power outlets are available on the pontoon.
